Let's Take a Closer Look...
Shed Type and Roof and Size
This is a storage unit and it has a pent roof. The pent roof is a high quality addition to any storage unit for a couple of reasons. The first is all about rainwater. A good pent roof can prevent rainwater from gathering and causing problems. It simply allows rainwater to run off. In fact, we have seen many buildings saved by the addition of a pent roof.
The pent roof also allows for easier storage. There Is added height due to a pent roof being included, and this means better storage of taller tools.
As regards measurements, the unit has a 216 cm in width measurement, and a 120 cm depth measurement. Internally, something is lost as the width goes down to 205 cm.
Cladding and frame and floor
The manufacturer has done some good work here when it comes to cladding. The cladding is tongue and groove and this means that you have lots of stability and durability in the outer shell of the building. This cladding is carefully created so that it is seamless and has full watertight protection. Planks of wood are locked together with the tongue and groove fitting, and therefore have much more strength and durability. It’s the best cladding you can have, and we were really pleased to see it on this building.
Things go downhill a little bit compared to the cladding when we look at the floor. The flooring is solid sheet materials. This is by no means the worst material you can have on the floor, but if you plan on storing heavy items, it may be worthwhile considering whether or not you will be able to replace this particular material. Tongue and groove would be more suitable for heavier items, and will not bow or buckle. Solid sheet materials are reasonably strong, but if you are looking at heavier items this may not be the flooring for you.
Treatment requirement and warranty
The manufacturer has helped you out here by giving you a full pre-treatment at the factory. This is excellent news, and it means that your building will arrive ready to be fixed up and it will already have the treatment that protects it all year round. This means less work for you, as you will not have to treat it when you receive the building.
Doors and windows
Obviously, it’s a security storage unit so there are no windows. But the double doors are of great quality and very heavy. They open up to a width of 146.5 cm, which is a great advantage if you are planning on storing bigger and bulkier items.
Security and privacy
The unit does come with a turn button for security, but if you want to ramp it up a little bit you can always opt for a padlock that you can easily fit yourself.
The lack of windows does help with security, because there is less there to tempt any intruders.
Customisation options
There are plenty of customisation options, from shelving that goes all around the building all the way up to buying padlock and padlock protectors. But we think one of the best customisation options that the manufacturer offers is the ability to colour your building according to your requirements. You can colour the trim and the walls quite easily, and the prices are not prohibitive.
So, How Does It All Stack Up?
Quality8/10

We were not impressed with the solid sheet materials, but to go on about that too much would take away from the overall quality of the building. It’s not a bad building, and certain aspects, like the tongue and groove cladding, show the manufacturer is committed to your satisfaction.

You will have problems with that solid sheet if you are planning on storing larger and heavier items. Apart from that, the cladding helps, and pre-treatment also brings a lot of longevity from the outset.

There is plenty of room in here for lawnmowers and tools, and the pent roof does bring you extra head height for storage of taller items. This makes for a very versatile and spacious interior that should help gardeners manage their workload.
Ease Of Installation7/10

You’re looking at a good few hours to get this up and running in your garden. It’s a heavy building, and the unit itself will require at least two people to put together. That said, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

We think you get a lot for your money with this particular unit. Lots of strength and solidity. Apart from the issue with the flooring, which as far as we can see you cannot change, the rest of the building is a strong and reliable purchase.

Overall Score
Final Thoughts: As long as you aren’t thinking of storing heavy items, this should be the perfect little storage unit for you. The pent roof is worthwhile having, as is the cladding that runs around the building. We are a little bit confused as to why that solid sheet flooring is there, because at this price the manufacturer could easily have included some tongue and groove flooring, or at least offered it as a customisation option. Overall, however, the building is sturdy and strong. There’s plenty of room inside to store your items, and the average gardener will find it perfectly capable and practical to have in their garden.
