The Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse is a very good sized lean to greenhouse that is going to give you plenty of room to grow your own food and take care of plants. This lean to greenhouse is large enough to allow you to potter around inside and the impressive height means that even tall plants have room to grow to their full potential. The door is a good sized sliding door that will make getting in and out very easy. The roof comes with two opening vents to allow fresh air inside and there is even some guttering and a drain pipe to prevent the rain from running down the front of the greenhouse. Speaking of the front, there is another opening vent here which will be very handy on hot days.
This is a very high end greenhouse which is made from very robust Western Red Cedar which does not just look great it is also very strong. Toughened glass has been used throughout which is great at allowing the sun to beam inside. All of the fixtures are made with stainless steel so there is no danger of them rusting and becoming weak over time. This is just a very well made lean to greenhouse that is sure to give you many years of use.

Let's Take a Closer Look...
Lean To Greenhouse Type And Roof Size
The Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse is a very smart looking and high quality lean to greenhouse that just has a lot of style. We are very impressed with this greenhouse and feel that the Western Red Cedar it is made makes it walk that fine line between classic and modern looking. This is a very decent sized greenhouse with the length being 9 feet 9 inches in length and the width being 6 feet 4 inches. This gives you more than enough room to walk around so you will be able to really enjoy pottering around inside of here. The height of this greenhouse took us by surprise as along the ridge it is 7 feet 5 inches. So for those of you who like to grow really tall plants or just want to have high shelving. The height of the greenhouse is going to allow you to do this. One very impressive bonus is that the guttering and drain pipe you see in the picture is actually included in the price.
They have done an amazing job with the roof on this lean to greenhouse. To start with, the framing they have used is very smart to look at, but it is also very strong and actually very robust. The panels are made with toughened glass and these are securely fixed in place with some very high end capping to keep them secure and also water tight. The roof also has an opening vent so you can let in a bit of fresh air if you need to.
Cladding, Frame And Floor
We really like that Western Red Cedar they haves used and feel that some cladding along the bottom would have looked fantastic. But they have decided to go against this. Instead the panels go nearly all the way to the floor. The only bit of cladding that there is, is a little bit on the door.
As you can see the frame is very thick and that Western Red Cedar makes for one very strong structure. The frame is going to really make this greenhouse stand strong for many years. The way the frame has been designed will make this greenhouse last for many years and you do not have to worry about the greenhouse getting flimsy.
There is no flooring included with the Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse, but really that is not a big deal. This is the case with most greenhouses like this and as long as you have a good concrete floor or even a decking area you will be fine.
Treatment Requirement And Warranty
We would certainly recommend that you treat the greenhouse shortly after construction. Also you will want to give it a fresh coating once a year. Now this is the norm and this is what most lean to greenhouses require, but they say something very weird about this. They claim that if you do not treat it that the wood will change its colour over time. This is very odd and actually the only time we have ever heard this and to be honest we are not sure we would take the chance not treating the wood.
You are looking at least a one year manufacturer’s warranty with this greenhouse. They do not actually disclose how long the warranty is, but at the least it will be a year. Most greenhouses of this style tend to come with a 5-10 year anti rot warranty.
Doors And Windows
The Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse has a really smart, dare we try and be hip by saying cool door. This is a single door that is a decent enough size that you will not have to juggle plants to get them inside. They have gone for a sliding door and this is great as it makes getting in and out easy, but if you are a bit on the nerdy side you can pretend they are the doors from Star Trek. The door is made with some toughened glass and some very nice looking cladding so it is also a very good looking part of the greenhouse. Also a great bonus feature is that the door can actually be places at either end of the greenhouse.
The toughened glass that they have used is top of the line and is going to really let the sun heat the inside. Also they have made sure each panel is securely sealed so that there is no danger of water getting in. On the front of the lean to greenhouse is an opening vent which is very unusual to see, but will come in very handy if things are getting a bit too hot in there.
Security And Privacy
If there is one chink in the armour of the Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse it is that there is no security. The vents on the roof and the one on the front securely close from the inside, but there is no actual locking mechanism included. The door will securely close so you do not have to worry about an intelligent family of mice opening it and getting inside. But we do wish they put a lock on the door. We do not have any concerns about the door opening in the wind, but you still might want to have a think about adding a padlock.
This is a very open lean to greenhouse that offers pretty much no privacy at all. We do not see this as a bad thing though as those large windows will allow plenty of light to get inside.
Customisation Options And Extras
No customisation options are offered with the Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse. But as you are most likely going to treat the wood you might want to have a look at giving it a coating of coloured wood treatment.
There are a few extras on offer for you here. First one is the staging which you see in the pictures. This costs £109.98. The staging looks great, but we do feel they could have included this in the price. If privacy is a concern of yours then you can purchase a set of grow house blinds. These though are very expensive at £214.94. Both these extras in theory are practical, but we do feel that the price they are asking for them is a little high.
So, How Does It All Stack Up?
This is a very well made greenhouse that just oozes quality. They have made sure to use high quality wood and glass and the end result is one very high quality lean to greenhouse.
Longevity Of Materials9/10
You are going to be able to enjoy this for many, many years. Also because there is not a whole lot of wood, treating it once a year is going to take no time at all.
This is a very good size. You have plenty of floor and roof space. The size of it will make walking around inside a very comfortable experience.
Ease Of Installation8/10
This is a two person job so be sure to have a person there to help you. It should not be all that difficult. There may be the odd tricky section, but this should take you 6-8 hours at the very most.
Value For Money8/10
This is one of the more expensive greenhouses, but to be fair you are getting a very high quality product here that is made from high end materials. We do feel though that at this price they could have included a lock and a little bit of staging.
Final Thoughts: With a charming style the Growhouse Lean-To Greenhouse is a very high quality and impressive looking lean to greenhouse. This is a greenhouse is very good looking and will be a very positive addition to your garden. The size of it is just ideal for those who want a lot of room to exercise their green thumbs, but who also do not want a greenhouse taking over the whole garden. We are very impressed with the wood and the glass they have used and the guttering and drain pipe is just the cherry on top. In all this is a very smart greenhouse and one that is high quality through and through. If you want the best then you have to pay for it and if you can handle the price tag then we are sure you will be very happy with this.
