We haven’t had the best of luck with the weather over the past couple of months here in the UK, however according to the forecasts we are in for some much-needed sun!
At Whatshed.co.uk we are always looking to improve our products and have a few exciting things in the pipeline, so we thought why not take advantage of the upcoming heat wave and put our products to the ultimate test? Fortunately for the public, we need some extra help to do this, cue the Parasol Patrol!
The Parasol Patrol is essentially our very own team of professional sunbathers, five sun-loving individuals, whose roles will be to review our upcoming garden products, rating each item’s comfort, style, practicality, and overall value.
Each pro will be sent products to review for a month and will include; sun loungers, outdoor furniture, cushions, parasols and other garden accessories.
In return for their work each Professional Sunbather will be paid £40 an hour to work five hours a week, and we’ll also cover expenses for all sunbathing essentials, including sunblock, food and beverages.
We do want to make it very clear that safety is always a priority and despite sunbathing being great, obviously it can be extremely dangerous. Therefore, to ensure each of our professionals stay safe, the Parasol Patrol will be contracted to comply with a number of sun safety precautions. For example, the successful candidates will be required to wear factor 50 sunblock at all times, which must be reapplied a minimum of every two hours and candidates must work for no longer than three hours across an entire day.
We are happy to confirm that no qualifications are needed for the role; however to apply you must be living in the UK, over the age of 18 and of course have access to a garden or outdoor space with good sun exposure.
Now you may be thinking, we live in the UK, what if it rains? No need to worry, due to the unpredictability of the weather the role will be flexible and if we are hit with rain the employment period can be extended. To hopefully avoid that scenario and to make the most of the sunshine whilst it’s around, we are looking for our professional sunbathers to start as soon as possible – applications for the role will close 30th June.
